Terms and Conditions
All contracts of sale made by J.R Webster & Company Limited (hereinafter called "The Company") are subject to these Conditions to the exclusion of any and all printed terms and conditions of the buyer which shall not form part of the Agreement. These Conditions cannot be varied, suspended or added to except with the prior consent in writing of the Company.
Contract Review
Orders are accepted in the form of written purchase orders, faxed orders, and verbally. All effort is made to ensure the customers specifications are met, but J.R. Webster & Co. Ltd retain the right to amend any purchase orders where necessary, after consultation with the purchaser.
Notification of discrepancies
Discrepancies in any goods delivered must be informed within seven days of receipt of goods. Price discrepancies must be advised with seven days of receipt of invoice.
Retention of Title
The goods remain the property of J.R. Webster & Co. Ltd, until payment has been made in full.
Settlement Terms
Accounts are strictly nett and due for payment 60 days from the end of the month of despatch. The company reserves the right to apply for payment of a credit account in full, should our terms not be met. Interest would then be chargeable at 1.5% of debt, and all costs connected with recovery would also be applied for.
Zinc Plating and other protective finishes: The Company will undertake to supply fasteners with a protective coating at the request of the Buyer but such process shall be considered to be a modification and shall absolve the Company from all warranties except where the plating process has been carried out by the manufacturer, whose normal trading conditions shall then apply. a. Plated Finishes - No plating process will guarantee completely the freedom from hydrogen embrittlement. Therefore we cannot be held liable for any loss or damage which occurs as a result of product failure by hydrogen embrittlement.
Special Parts - No responsibility whatsoever can be accepted for goods supplied to Buyer special dimensions unless a detail drawing of such components is provided at the enquiry stage. Should such drawing be provided and production errors occur the Company will accept no liability other than such rights as are granted pursuant to the manufacturer's conditions of sale.
Cancellation of orders for specials or goods obtained specially will not be accepted. Cancellation of orders and return of goods to stock can be accepted on the basis of a 20% handling charge at the Company's discretion. In all such cases the Company's decision shall be final.
